Why?

Because hearing the gospel of Jesus is the most radically life changing message. "And how shall they hear without a..."

Culture constantly distracts us from our created purpose. Preaching from the word of God is a vital part in restoring our hearts and souls to that purpose.

As an evangelist I do not believe that the greatest thing a person can do in life is preach the word of God. I believe the greatest thing a person can do is fulfill the purpose for which God created him or her. That purpose for everyone begins with finding Jesus through faith alone and following him in a scripturally grounded relationship.

The New Testament precedent for people coming to know Jesus is preaching and teaching the revelation of God from His word. That was Jesus command to his disciples when he left them. Illustrations, humor, enthusiasm, creativity can all be important parts of the presentation but, preaching ultimately must be the careful and contextual teaching and application of the text to the listener.

For this reason churches and ministries need evangelist, pastors, and teachers who were created to communicate with creativity, clarity, and conviction the word of God to the souls of men.

Why? Because real change doesn't happen through legislation it happens when people are restored to their creator and follow His word.
